Following on from tours of Walton our with the police and council, and feedback from people living locally, we've joined forces with Vision On Systems to develop a way of logging incidents of ASB. These include graffiti, vandalism, littering, fly tipping, dog fouling and any other such petty crimes you may become aware of.
You can also report these incidents to the usual people at the council via YOUR STREETS or by calling 101 and reporting to the police, or we can do that for you if we think it warrants it and you haven't had time.
This system here is for us to be able to keep an entire record of EVERY incident in our town, so that we can build a complete picture to be able to present to the police and the council if we feel action is required and isn't happening. It's a way of our residents knowing their report is logged and kept, and can be referred back to at any point to help highlight trouble spots/repeat offenders.
It's similar to Facewatch or Pub Watch - but covers everyone within the town - and has been used to great effect in other areas of the UK with the full support of the police. It has also proven to save the police money as logging CCTV or images, and making reports on incidents, adds to their evidence when prosecuting criminals.
Just fill in the form on this page, upload any images you have and that's it!
Thanks for helping us make Walton a better place to live and work.
Any updates on your reports will be posted on the Walton Watchdog Facebook page.
