RES Year 11 students are celebrating a combined percentage of 60% Grade 4 and above in English and Maths (The new National measure for 2016-17 as graded 9-1. Grade 4 being equivalent the old ‘C ‘grade). This is a significant improvement on previous years, despite the introduction of new and more challenging GCSE’s.
Head of School, Anne-Louise Payne, said “These fantastic results are testament to the hard work and commitment our students have shown throughout this academic year. Since joining The Howard Partnership Trust, a little over one year ago, we have introduced more aspirational targets and I amvery proud that the students have clearly risen to the challenge! Improved attitudes to learning, support from parents, and the hard work and dedication of staff have resulted in more students being able to access both A Level and vocational pathways. We look forward to welcoming students back into our new Three Rivers Academy Sixth Form, which last week (as its final year as RES) also celebrated improved results.” Common comments from students were: “I am Elated”, “Emotional”, “On top of the world”, “Really Good”, “Ecstatic” on receiving their results. |
