Heritage Day in Walton-on-ThamesHeritage Day has been celebrated in Walton for 20 years! WoTTA organises a main event and coordinates all the events during the day in the town. In 2019 the event was again held in Bridge Street, with events by the river and elsewhere in the town.
Heritage Open Days is the country’s largest heritage festival with around 5,000 events, over 40,000 volunteers and more than three million visitors taking part. Celebrating local history, architecture and culture, the four-day event offers everyone the chance to see hidden places and experience something new - all of which are completely free to explore. WoTTA's Steering Committee has decided to cancel Heritage Day 2020 because of social distancing and other restrictions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic. Please stay safe and we look forward to Heritage Day 2021. Here's a reminder of our Heritage Day 2019. |
