CURRENT ISSUE - CYCLING ON PAVEMENTS
With the PSPO in place we've seen a big reduction in issues with older offenders. Now we've been asked by the police to help resolve a new issue, cycling on pavements by 12-15 year olds. The police want us to encourage local residents and businesses to report these incidents. You do this by logging onto the police website and filling in a short form, or by phoning 101. It's usually quicker to use the website. Here's the link: REPORT A CRIME
However, we know that a lot of people don't report as they perceive nothing happening once they've filed a report, they just receive a crime number. To avoid that, we'd like you to forward us the email you get back from the police after reporting your crime. The email to send to is : [email protected]
The plan is for us to be able to keep an entire record of EVERY incident in our town, so that we can build a complete picture to be able to present to the police and the council to support action. It's a way of our residents knowing their report is logged and kept, and can be referred back to at any point to help highlight trouble spots/repeat offenders. Let's work together to make our town safe.
As usual you can report incidents of fly tipping, graffiti, littering etc to the usual people at the council via YOUR STREETS.
Remember, just forward us the email you get from the police, and that's it! Thanks for helping us make Walton a better place to live and work.
