WoTTA cares about our town, the people in it and the way it looks. When WoTTA formed in 2016 Litter Picks were already happening and being run by the Walton Society, led by one of their Councillors for Walton Central, Alan Palmer. When he became WoTTA Chairman, the Litter Picks were brought under the WoTTA umbrella to gain more exposure in the town and more volunteers. Successful WoTTA Litter Picks have been running since then. WoTTA has also met with other community groups, such as scouts, and led them on a Litter Pick.
In November 2018 the Walton Litter Pickers were formed by local residents Michael & Deb, who share our vision and passion for a litter free environment. WoTTA are forming a strong alliance with this group, recently working together to get kits of Litter Pickers & High Vis vests to local schools.
Walton Litter Pickers mission is to organise and enable residents to tackle the streets where they live, as well as occasional bigger cleans. WoTTA will promote them and help where needed with bids for funding. Read about them by clicking the logos below.
