CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN:

We've just launched a crowdfunding campaign, hoping to raise £25,000 to have a commemorative statue made for Ashley Park, Walton-on-Thames as a permanent reminder that this is the site of the first recorded baseball game in history, played in 1749.  LINK TO CAMPAIGN

NEWLY RELEASED:

Do you know about Walton-on-Thames' starring role in the origins of baseball? Proven by renowned American author and American Baseball historian David Block, you can read all about it HERE.

Walton Cricket Club in Ashley Park - where the first ever documented game of baseball was played by the Prince of Wales in 1749 - is getting a Blue Plaque. To celebrate this momentous occasion Walton Cricket Club, WoTTA and BaseballSoftballUK are organising a day to remember!

Follow our exciting journey to creating this new event for the town via Twitter and Facebook. If you'd like to help out please Get in touch. We need all the help we can get :)

We're hoping to raise enough money to make a healthy donation to our chosen charities and commission a legacy sculpture for baseball fans to visit though the years #originsofbaseball

Let's get our town on the map!
