Heritage Day in Walton-on-Thames - September 2017On the 9th September Walton-on-Thames celebrated it's 20th Heritage Day event! St Mary's Church had an excellent turnout for their tour towers and informative displays on the history of the church. Riverhouse Barn showed Memories of Walton II.
We moved the fair to Cowey Sale and had an amazing day! Check out the photo gallery on this page - The Dog Show, Cake Off and Talent Show were all great and there was a fantastic array of stalls offering a wide selection of games, gifts and information about local charities. The weather was kind to us for most of the day and allowed us to enjoy two performances by the Puppet Theatre. Radio Wey did an amazing job with their coverage of the day and also made the great video we now have on our website, produced by Radio Wey volunteer Simon Matthews. Surrey 4x4 Response dealt with the road traffic management brilliantly, and our Luxfords lorry made an exceptional stage. So a great big thanks to everyone involved, and especially to the Walton Heritage Day Organising Committee! See below results of the events we ran on the day. Thanks to everyone who entered!
