Community Action Against Litter!

WoTTA was contacted by Elmbridge Borough Council to find a way to invest money from central government set aside to combat litter. Working with Walton Litter Pickers, it was decided a great option would be to purchase litter picking kits to distribute to (1) local families wanting to clear up the area where they live, (2) local residents who want to join Litter Picks, and (3) local schools for children to join in the fight against litter.
To that end Mick Tumilty, Founder of Walton Litter Pickers, and Joanna Gordon, MD of WoTTA, spent a fun morning distributing the kits to the schools who'd said yes to the donation. These schools were Ashley, Bell Farm, Burhill, Cleves, Cardinal Newman, Grovelands and Walton Leigh. Check out the gallary of photos from our visits below.
Fabulous that so many of them leapt at the chance to get involved and active, taking positive steps to improve their future.
Join in the fight against litter. Come along to one of WoTTA's Community Litter Picks and join the Walton Litter PIckers and help grow the area covered by local residents keeping Walton lovely! And a massive thanks to EBC!
