BLOG POST 17TH MAY - PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS!
I recently did a poll on my Instagram story asking what you would like me to blog about and the majority of you chose or asked for some photography tips! I am in no way a professional but photography truly does fascinate me and after practising and learning new techniques for a while now I believe I have created a couple of fairly simple tips and tricks to take a good quality photo.
TIP 1: when taking a picture either inside or outside make shore the light is behind YOU the photographer, this is because unless you are purposefully trying to get a silhouette image, the person or object in front of you would be dark faded and unable to see many details whereas when the light source is coming from behind you the picture can be transformed making it easier to make out, brighter colours and an overall usually a more aesthetically pleasing shot. TIP 2: this one may be very obvious but it is to keep a steady hand when taking pictures (unless you are trying to have a motion or blur shot). Some tips to avoid this if you are using a big proper camera hold it with two hand one holding the body and the other supporting the lens and if you are using a phone wait until it has fully focused and have your hands still before taking the picture. TIP 3: use natural reflections! One of the most popular things to photograph are rivers, lakes, oceans, water etc. Instead of trying to avoid the sun rays reflection or unwanted natural reflections, use them to your advantage! There are usually so many beautiful plants, trees and bridges around water so if it is still or even slightly wavy there is so much potential for a beautiful shot. TIP 4: this is mainly phone users that have these particular settings but of course if you have camera settings that allow you to also do this I really recommend. If you struggle to snap a fast moving item like a firework for example. A trick I have for this I know you can access on iPhone are bursts or slow motions clips. If you use a burst you simply hold down the camera button and it prints various pictures with fractions if seconds between each one and you are then able to pick a favourite or multiple to keep. Similarly, if you know something beautiful is about to flash and appear then disappear within second you can slow motion record it then trace back and screen shot what you think is most beautiful. TIP 5: EDITING! On almost every phone, camera or computer you can edit and adjust the lighting, filter, crop or rotate it and many more things. Through this you can perfect any picture to make it just how you like it. Simple, quick and easy! Sorry for not writing in a while throughout the summer months I hope to be a lot more active so be ready! I have included some of my pictures as well to show you which I also hope you like. BLOG POST 28th MARCH - NEW NIVEA 1 MINUTE FACE MASK REVIEW
Nivea have recently released 3 new 1 minute Urban Skin face masks, the purifying, pore refining and moisturising masks. In Walton on Thames they are available in Superdrug (down the High-street), Sainsbury’s (the Town Centre) and Wilko’s (down Bridge Street). I have learnt to invest my budget wisely by buying my new mask from Superdrug, this is because Superdrug had the cheapest price of the three as it is currently on sale at £4.29 instead of £6.99 however Sainsbury’s also have a sale from £7.00 now being £5 and finally Wilko’s is remaining at the products recommended retail price (RRP) being £7.
I chose to purchase the Nivea Urban Skin 1 Minute Pore minimising mask. The Self-heating, translucent gel-formula claims to detoxify skin, relieve impurities, refines pores and visibly tightens for more noticeably clear, smooth and healthy looking skin. After applying a generous amount in small circular motions as advised all you have to do is simply wait 1 minute and then rinse it off. I immediately noticed a difference in my skin being the obvious change of my pores shrinking and tightening leaving a more smooth finish. However, there are not many other immediate visible changes. The mask does leave the skin feeling extremely soft and aluminous. Contrary to the claim I have not seen an obvious change making my skin Clear however due to the results of my first use I can imagine it does. I will update it on my Twitter (wottateen) and my Instagram stories (wottateen) in whether it makes my skin clear or not.
Overall due to the good price and great reaction on the skin I would highly recommend popping into the Walton-on-Thames stores and buying this product. If there is anything you would like to see me review or include in my future blogs, please ensure you get in touch via my Instagram or Twitter!

BLOG POST 10th MARCH - 2018 SPRING FASHION TRENDS
With spring time approaching, new fashion trends are coming around! So, now is your chance to stay up to date with all the new styles you can get your hands on in Walton-on-Thames. After thoroughly looking through New Look, H&M and Accessorise (All of which are in The Heart Centre) as well as taken inspiration from Spring fashion week in America, I have discovered a handful of new clothing trends.
Firstly there has been a big craze on bright, bold colours. Obviously, there are LOADS of options for this. However, I recommend looking in H&M as they always have sale items and a variety of options of clothing styles and colours I am sure there is something for you! To suit the trend perfectly there is currently a blue, red and white range in H&M full of unique designs with bold red- as you can see on one of the H&M photos! Matching with your bright outfit New Look and Accessorise have some amazing bright tassel earrings (as seen in the Accessorise pictures) that can either match perfectly with your look or become a big statement piece for a plainer outfit.
The second trends I am sharing with you, that you can easily access, in Walton-on-Thames are floral and geometric prints! Accessorise has a beautiful mother’s day and spring range of which, as you can see in the picture, has some gorgeous floral bags and purses that fit perfectly in the spring/ summer vibes and of course more beautiful flower printed jewellery! Moving from floral designs New Look have a massive variety of geometric, Indian inspired tops. They are really comfy yet stylish so you can wear them on a day to day basis.
Finally, the last spring 2018 clothing trend I am sharing with you are checked/ plaid everything! Plaid has been taking over, from checked leggings, to checked skirts, to checked shirts; people can’t seem to get enough of it! The main way people have been using checks are having oversized plaid/checked shirts open on top of a plain or coloured crop tops which is perfect for the Spring/Summer weather. New Look currently have a big rack of checked/plaid shirts upstairs in the back of their Walton-on-Thames, Heart Centre store.
I hope this has helped you get up to date on spring trends and will encourage you to have look and shop in the Heart shopping centre stores. I will be blogging again soon as well as keeping you updated on my twitter - @WoTTATeen and Instagram - @wottateen !

BLOG POST 4th MARCH 2018 - BLACK PANTHER
Marvel Studios have recently released their new action, science fiction movie, Black Panther an exciting and heart racing film about the new ruler T’Challa, Chadwick Boseman, also known as Black Panther, trying to protect his kingdom, Wakanda, from being torn apart from his enemies from inside and outside the country. Directed by non-other than Ryan Coogler.
The 4/5 (Empire), 4.5/5 (Vox) and 97% (rotten Tomatoes) rated film is perfect if you are looking for an “outstanding” new film to go and see with your friends or family. With very impressive stunts and visual effects there isn’t really anything you can complain about. Not to mention the breath taking acting, memorable action sequences and surprising depth! The film highlights key messages of never giving up and looking after something you thoroughly care about. Daniel Kaluuya even won the EE Rising Star Award in the BAFTA’s!
The film is a 12A , 134 minutes and you can view it at the Walton-on- Thames Everyman cinema!
