Let's Welcome Another New Shop Opening

Walton Wood & Carpet has opened at 35 HighStreet, Walton-on-Thames. 

The business specialises in 
carpets, rugs, wall and floor coverings

Footpath Upgrade Is Complete. Another Successful Wotta Project

Work to install two footpaths in Ashley Park is now complete.

 Wotta applied for funds from Elmbridge Council's Community Infrastructure Fund.

The two paths now connect New Zealand Avenue to the Ashley Park car park and to the play area
.

The new paths replace the muddy tracks across the area. 

​Contractors also installed special ground mats around some of the play equipment.

Anzac Day Service - Sunday April 24th 2022
Walton's connections with Australian and New Zealand were marked with a special church service attended by the New Zealand Consul General Jeremy Palmer, Sub-Lieutenant Charkes Ward of the New Zealand Navy and Lieutenant John Paul of the Australian Navy.. Read about the connections here

Developers invite residents and businesses to comment on a proposal to re-develop 9-21 High Street, Walton-on-Thames.

Fresh baking every day plus cakes and a coffee machine.

Two Fat Cats is in Bridge Street - opens at 7am on weekdays.

Walton Has A Karate Club

Wotta supports all aspects of our community. Walton Wado Karate Club meets on a thursday evening in St. Mary's Church Hall.

Youngsters from the age of 7 have instruction from 7pm whilst over 15's kick-off at 8pm.

In 2019, four years of work by Wotta resulted in town centre businesses voting to establish a Business Improvement District.

Development Allowed on Former Homebase Site After Appeal.
Despite nearly two hundred objections from residents and local organisations including Wotta, developers have been allowed to proceed with a construction of 222 units of care accommodation on the former Homebase site in Ashley Park..
There was a three week inquiry held online in March 2021.

Council Encourages Independent Retailers to Improve Their Online Shop Window
Independent retailers located in Elmbridge can apply for a grant to help improve their online shop window.  Having both a physical presence in our town centre and an online facility is in the interest of most businesses.  How about a grant of up to £2,000 to improve your business? The Elmbridge Digital High Street Fund could help you.

 In July 2020, the criteria were changed to give an opportunity for more businesses to apply.
