Elmbridge Independent Retailer of the Year Awards
This year, Elmbridge Borough Council is once again celebrating independent retailers in the Borough and asking residents to support their local shops by voting for their favourites.
The awards, now in their 5th year are a great way of bringing the community together and showcasing the quality independent shops, cafes and restaurants we have in Elmbridge.
Residents can vote for their favourite local independents across five categories with one overall winner crowned the Best Elmbridge Independent Retailer of the Year. The Independent Retailer Awards are part of a wider campaign to encourage residents to shop, eat and play local this July with High Street treasure hunts, summer events, street performers and much more going on across the Borough.
Councillor Mary Marshall, Portfolio Holder for Corporate and Community Development said: “The Retailer of the Year Awards are going from strength to strength which just shows how much our local independent shops mean to people. This is another chance to back our local high streets and shops by highlighting the great independents that we have on our doorsteps. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to please vote for your favourite retailers as well as enjoy all the great activities going on in our Borough during July.
Residents can vote in the Independent Retailer Awards until 31 July by visiting elmbridge.gov.uk/retailawards with the chance to win £100 to spend in one of the winning businesses.
