RES redevelopment project - Targeted to open January 2018
In what is an exciting time of change for all those at RES, we are delighted to share our plans for our new school building which is due to be completed in December 2017.
The concept for the school reflects the best of modern, large school builds whilst also promoting the feeling of community and belonging. Combining the best that large and small schools have to offer, the brand new school building will provide outstanding education and pastoral care. The new school will be housed completely under one roof, allowing for an increased roll and providing state of the art, purpose built provision for our students. The Main School Visually exciting, the school’s communal areas are open, airy and impressively grand but carefully planned to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Below are architectural drawings of how the school will look. It will have state-of-the art facilities that include a full range of specialist classrooms for science and technology subjects, distributed ICT provision, a large library with dedicated quiet study areas, a dance studio, drama and theatre spaces, a six court sports hall, fitness suite, a full size 3G Astroturf pitch and much, much more. Our approach recognises the contributions that all students can make to RES and our Inclusion area provides support and guidance for those students requiring extra support to maximise their potential. The Sixth Form As a Sixth Form student at RES, as well as highly qualified and dedicated staff, students will have access to a range of dedicated facilities within the Sixth Form Centre. There are Sixth Form only teaching rooms, as well as study areas, catering and social spaces purely for their use. Situated at the front and top of the school, this area will be an inspirational space for our young adults to learn in. The brand new school will continue to promote our ethos of ‘believe, achieve, succeed’ and as a part of The Howard Partnership Trust is committed to ‘bringing out the best’ in all of the students who are part of the school community. We are excited about the new developments at RES and what it can offer to both current and prospective students when it opens soon.
