Pen Players - Softball Cricket for Women in Walton
What's Softball Cricket?
Whack some balls, bowl some balls, catch some balls. Run about a bit, laugh more than is good for you. Repeat. Soft Ball Cricket is about getting out and playing: maximum fun, minimum fuss. No pads, no hard ball, no heavy bat, no head-scratching rules. It’s a game for absolutely everybody, no matter your skill level, fitness, or age. Everyone gets a chance to try each position in fielding if they'd like, and everyone gets to bat two overs. The English Cricket Board organise regular festivals around the country. Walton Team - Pen Players We're forming a Walton team to join in local festivals. Training is on a Thursday 6-7pm, and will start with some cardio followed by training with a coach. Then there's time for everyone to get to know each other and have a glass of something at the bar! Recent Festival Walton hosted a festival on 28th May and it was a great success. The sun shone and four teams competed. Players ranged from 16 to 60, and from first-timers to visiting teams. Everyone joined in and had a great day. Playing time at Festivals is usually about two to four hours, so it never gets boring! |
