Pen Players - Softball Cricket for Women in Walton
Walton Team - Pen Players
Training is on a Thursday 6-7pm, and will start with some cardio followed by training with a coach. Then there's time for everyone to get to know each other and have a glass of something at the bar! We also enter Softball Tournaments!
What's Softball Cricket?
Whack some balls, bowl some balls, catch some balls. Run about a bit, laugh more than is good for you. Repeat. Soft Ball Cricket is about getting out and playing: maximum fun, minimum fuss. No pads, no hard ball, no heavy bat, no head-scratching rules. It’s a game for absolutely everybody, no matter your skill level, fitness, or age. Everyone gets a chance to try each position in fielding if they'd like, and everyone gets to bat two overs. The English Cricket Board organise regular festivals around the country. Recent Festival Walton hosted a festival on 28th May and it was a great success. The sun shone and four teams competed. Players ranged from 16 to 60, and from first-timers to visiting teams. Everyone joined in and had a great day. Playing time at Festivals is usually about two to four hours, so it never gets boring! |
